How should I start worker with non-block mode in script ?

I define a function to setup python-rq worker.

def setup_rq_worker()
    conn = redis.StrictRedis(host="xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx", db=0, password="xxx", port=6379)
    w  = Wroker(["default], connection=conn)
    w.work()
    print("success start up worker ....")

When I call funciton setup_rq_worker(), It seemed program is been blocked by w.work() function.
How should I start worker with non-block mode ?
Any body can help me to solve this problem, and give me example code?
