Select2 - Deprecated functions

My name is Jose M. Garcia and I lead an applications development team that use Select2 component (last release, 4.0.13). Our Cybersecurity Team has informed us that our SAST tool (Checkmarx) has detected some vulnerabilities for some functions such as jQuery $.isArray, $.isFunction and $.trim (Checkmarx marks the functions as deprecated). I would like to know if a next release fixes those vulnerabilities.

• i wouldn't expect any new release here. The lib is in a vegetative state without any release sincs 2020
• why would select2 be responsibe of jquery's deprecations? Update jquery

https://github.com/orchidjs/tom-select and https://github.com/Choices-js/Choices seems the best atm

there is https://github.com/wolffe/tail.select.js but it seems unmaintained.

None of them uses jquery
