Current behavior

it seems the following extensions .ts|.mts|.mjs for release.config are being ignored by semantic-release

it looks like the ability to load these extensions was only added to cosmiconfig recently in v8.2.0. we currently define our dependency on cosmiconfig as ^8.0.0, so it is possible that your lockfile is keeping you on a version lower than v8.2.0. could you verify if upgrading your version of cosmiconfig helps?

please provide the output of npm ls cosmiconfig
