I finally got it to work, but clearly the documentation is wrong! RestApiId:
Ref: YourApiGatewayName That does not seem to be correct. RestApiId:
Ref: ApiGatewayRestApi everything worked. So this has nothing to do with the name of the api gateway, ApiGatewayRestApi is the logical name used in the cloudformation files. Zero friction serverless apps? Don't think so. Everytime I need to tweak my serverless files I know I will lose hours and hours on silly things like this. Luckily the community makes up for a lot of the gaps, so this is my humble contribution. |

I am referring to this documentation .
I have spent hours now on getting a very similar example to work, but fail to do so.
The error I am getting is this:
Error:
CREATE_FAILED: ApiGatewayAuthorizer (AWS::ApiGateway::Authorizer)
Resource handler returned message: "Unable to complete operation due to concurrent modification. Please try again later. (Service: ApiGateway, Status Code: 409, Request ID: 362b8235-684b-4943-9a3c-a419b81ebdbd)" (RequestToken: 11ac7cbd-02dc-7ed1-defa-f7293d420a88, HandlerErrorCode: AlreadyExists)
There seems to be some sort of conflict where the authorizer is being created twice?
