Type: Bug

This extension consumes a lot of CPU even when the vscode is idle. It generally takes up 150% or more of the CPU all the time

Steps to reproduce:

  • Open Macbook Activity monitor.
  • When the vscode is opened and this extension is enabled, the CPU used by vscode is consistently high
  • It debugged it using the extension bisect

Extension version: 3.4.3
VS Code version: Code 1.74.2 (Universal) (e8a3071ea4344d9d48ef8a4df2c097372b0c5161, 2022-12-20T10:26:09.430Z)

Same, disabling it made VSCode much faster
