Plugin not working with logrotate

Hi, I was using this plugin to send metrics to SignalFx. However, we have implemented logrotation for our logs and seems like the plugin is not able to tail log once the log is rotated. We are rotating our Nginx log using the logrotate utility.

Looks like this plugin is deprecated recently. Can someone redirect me to the right plugin to use for sending metrics to SignalFx and should support logrotation .
I was trying to use fluent/fluent-bit:1.7 version of docker image for fluent-bit as mentioned in the fluent-bit documentation. Seems like the same configuration for fluent-bit.conf and parser.conf doesn't work for this image for tailing and parsing the logs.

Although these files are working perfectly fine with the image mentioned in the repo

Can someone point me to what should I use to send metrics to SignalFx with fluent-bit plugin? Also, it should support tailing of logs after log rotation.
