Unable to combine paths in the svg #7603

I was working on the Peerlist logo SVG and I am unable to combine all the paths

Here is the draft PR #7602

I would really appreciate some help here since I have very little experience working with SVGs

As per documentation, "Some icons can't be easily converted to a monochromatic version due to color changes, shadows, or other effects. For such cases, the addition of gaps is the recommended approach, with a preferred width of 0.5px. In some situations, a different gap may be required, but that will be determined on a per-case basis".
First of all, a path has a single fill excluding styles so when we merge the path then the colors would just be a single green color over the area.
I used various design tools and editors but the whole concept seems the same, we cannot merge the path with so many layers with different fill.
I am attaching some SVG code that I made along the process in case…

You can do it by selecting all paths, then using Path > Combine in the top menu bar

There are so many layers involved that it seems very tough to combine the paths. I will update you if I am able to merge the paths.

I would just use the black outline of the P and make a black outline of the surrounding rectangle without the filling at all.
