Electron Framework

Since Electron has an excellent and growing community & ecosystem it's worth trying out. Here are a list of things I'm going to try and do:

• Attempt to flag any issues that might be solved by moving to Electron
• Get Mac application working
• Get Linux application working
• Get Windows application working
• Upgrade dependencies
• Move to ES6 where we can, if we aren't already
• Look into other misc improvements with the UI

Yes, a small amount. I wanted to wait for 1.3.z to settle before working on something truly.

There are a lot of cool tools to use now, so this will get some attention. Anyone else want to pair on this with me?

I don't know where to begin tho, I stumbled with this client/library just yesterday.
All I know is that couldn't do a thing in Windows/Linux.

Just to catch up, where did you successfully run this?
Some folks are using it for web hosted like Shot-IRC; I'm curious why doesn't work on Linux.
