Issue details
This is a meta issue, I'm not sure if there's a better place to create this.
It would be great to support the installation of step-cli on IPv6-only systems.
Although GitHub does not yet support IPv6 on their release distribution domains (github.com, objects.githubusercontent.com), it would great to have this supported on dl.step.sm for when GitHub also supports it.
The installation guide redirects all download links through your server at dl.step.sm, which currently does not support IPv6 either.
Considering you are already using your own server for redirecting (I guess for tracking?) you might also want to consider to redirect to the latest version with those links.
Hey @Nothing4You 馃憢. Thanks for opening the issue!
We're working with another project that we use for proxying the URLs and also gathering some data. The other project is working on IPV6 support - it's on their short term roadmap we've been told. Once it's supported we will immediately enable it.

See also https://github.com/orgs/community/discussions/10539 for github.com IPv6, although that does not necessarily include objects.githubusercontent.com.
Why is this needed?
IPv4 addresses are scarce.
