Random attack/switch choices are sometimes made for me if my mouse hovers over the gray area under the battle window between turns.

There have been several moments where if my mouse is in the gray area under the battle window after I have clicked a move/switch, by the time the animations have stopped playing for the current turn, the next turn starts without showing me my options and it will tell me that I have already made an action with a cancel button. This has caused me to select encore 3 turns in a row without any input from the mouse. It doesn't happen in every battle, but when it does it can cause serious throws in games.

This has been documented by other players too, see 39:59 on this youtube video where he picks the switch option and the client clicks Earthquake on its own for the turn right after.

Note, although he skips the animations in the video, I didn't skip any animations when the bug happened to me.
