The main areas of Open Source I work on are:

  • Maintain Imagick. This includes adding features, fixing bugs, and improving the documentation and examples, which live at https://phpimagick.com/

  • Maintainer of Auryn dependency injector. Auryn is probably the most powerful and complete of the available dependency injectors in PHP, and allows for writing very clean code.

  • Improving PHP internals communications. The biggest problem facing the PHP project is scaling the communication of information related to the project. Currently the only official method is the internals newsgroup/email list, which is not a suitable tool for communication across such a diverse project.

  • Advice to PHP RFC authors. I've helped people draft RFCs and guide them through the RFC process.

  • Improving PHP. I've pushed through a couple of small RFCs e.g. Closure::fromCallable(), and am hoping to be able to work on some bigger ones.
