Hi, I'm Brecht Sanders, passionate about computer programming since my childhood halfway the 1980s.

I'm working mostly on projects using C and C++.
For my own projects I aim for cross-platform portability (including Windows, Linux and macOS).
I have also started building an distributing my personal build of GCC+MinGW-w64 for native Windows at https://winlibs.com/
I also contribute to various other projects to help them build on Windows using GCC+MinGW-w64.

A lot of time goes into my open source work. If I can get sponsorship for this work I can start considering scaling down my day job to focus more on open source.

This would allow me allocate dedicated time to focus more on porting C/C++ libraries to Windows (GCC+MinGW-w64) and expanding https://winlibs.com/ into a Windows package repository with it's own package manager. This will make it a very powerful Windows toolbox with thousands of libraries. As most of these libraries already exist on Linux and macOS this would make it easier to make cross-platform portable applications. Or it can be used to just write performant native Windows applications, but without depending on massive frameworks (like .Net or Java) or external dependancies (like Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable).
