👋 Hi there, my name is Michael and I'm from the UK but now live in beautiful Vienna, Austria.

I'm working full-time on Vendure, which is an open-source headless e-commerce framework built on Node.js using TypeScript and GraphQL. My goal with Vendure is to create a tool which allows developers to create incredible e-commerce applications and have fun whilst doing it! Developer experience is a top priority for me. I've seen and heard (and lived) some horror stories about how hard it has traditionally been to build highly custom e-commerce apps, and I aim to bring a pragmatic, performant and productive approach to this problem.

I really believe in the open source model of product development. Both as a maintainer and a user. The uncountable hours saved by the OSS software I use every day. The feedback, bug reports, battle-testing and contributions made by others to my projects. The world would be immeasurably poorer without all of us taking part in the grand scheme.

I also try to be as active as I can in the Vendure community - you can reach me via Slack, email or Twitter. Sponsorship of any amount means that I have more time to dedicate to community activities - answering questions, helping with PRs, producing educational material like tutorials or video courses.
