Logging of next retry in RetryTopicConfiguration - Spring kafka retry #2992
-
Team, Is there a way to extract when will be the next retry? eg say we have 2 retry topics topic-2000, topic-6000 We know that when it writes to topic-2000, it will process after 2000ms and similar when it writes to 6000, it will process after 6000ms but is there a way to extract information about how long it will take for retry to kick in? I want to log something like retry will happen after 2000ms. If it is not successful then I want to log that retry will happen in 6000ms. |

i see the line "if a message processing throws an exception, the configured DefaultErrorHandler and DeadLetterPublishingRecoverer forwards the message to the next topic, using a DestinationTopicResolver to know the next topic and the delay for it." And I see List<DestinationTopic.Properties> destinationTopicProperties; in RetryTopicConfiguration But when I follow along I am not able to get hold of DestinationTopicResolver. |

OK. It is still hard for me to understand what is going on, but sounds like we can close this discussion since you got the answer for your original request.
