.IT is a pretty common tracker format, it'd be nice if a program like this were to support it :)

.it is lovely, but when it comes to compatility it might get weird. ITs which were done in the original Impulse-Tracker sound different from the ITs which were created in Modplug-Tracker. And concerning the Filters that only worked with SSE-CPUs back in those days, at least for me this sounds quite complicated but I'd ++ this feature, too.

Indeed - it would be relatively easy to add support for the fileformat and to get basic playback for IT files, but getting all the specifics right would be VERY challenging and currently out of scope.
To get an idea: OpenMpt has a long list of all the weird IT playback thingies at https://wiki.openmpt.org/Development:_Test_Cases/IT
It has taken Sagamusix many years to reach the level of compatibility that OpenMpt has and I don't think I want to repeat that effort :-)
I do like however the IT concept of "New Note Actions" - especially where you can define to keep the current sample playing when adding a new note the the same channel.
If (or when) BassoonTracker will move forward and inevitably will need it's own file format, that will certainly be included.
I'll put this issue on Hold for now.
