Box beam median barriers (guard rails) offer strong protection in tight spaces. (See photo, below) NYS DOT has started using the for protected bike lanes around here. They're awesome.
Was hoping to use them in a diagram for the Route 9 Active Transportation Project (https://route9active.org/). They can be better than jersey barriers, which take up more width and create drainage issues.
For my diagram I could use other barrier types as a stand in, and say use your imagination, but, hey, it's clearer to show the real thing.
