The manual refer to the README.md for installing procedures but inside of the README.md theres anything related.

Same! for a new users its very hard to understand on what to do with those widgets
and this repo refers to the awesome wiki, wiki sends back to this repo

I found this

This widget needs an 'anchor' - another widget which triggers visibility of the calendar. Default mytextclock is the perfect candidate! Just after mytextclock is instantiated, create the widget and add the mouse listener to it.

and some code sample, but where do you put this code too?

I also found this example https://awesomewm.org/apidoc/documentation/07-my-first-awesome.md.html#Add_widgets which states

Before the following line:

mylauncher = awful.widget.launcher({ image = beautiful.awesome_icon,

but again, where is it?

okay I think arch does have some documentation on the first steps https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/awesome
