macOS Big Sur V11.4
Eclipse V4.20 (2021-06)
Subclipse 4.3.3
SVNKit Client Adapter V1.8.12.3
SVNKit Library V1.10.1

Just updated Eclipse yesterday to the latest release. Attempting to commit, and the commit comment field is uneditable! It won't accept a template or a previous comment, either. Went down the rabbit hole, to no avail.

TEMP FIX: resizing the dialog window brings a cursor to the comment field, and I can add a comment.

Same issue here. This is pretty bad. Is anybody working on this?

You never know when a PR will show up but other than that, No .. nobody works on this project anymore.

What I see when I tried it was that until you resize the commit dialog the cursor is slightly off the screen. I could see the very bottom of the letters I was typing. This has to be an Eclipse/SWT bug but that does not mean some minor code change might not resolve it.

You're right, you just have to resize the box and it all works. Thanks for the workaround
