Now blog index is very barebone. That might need extra oompfh.

At least don’t cut words in the middle ;-)

Some ideas:

Add cover like on other pages
Mail list form
Categories
Show latest (or several latest) post differently — with an image, etc.
Do not cut words in the middle, cut at the end of a sentence.
