Initial checklist

  • I understand this is a feature request and questions should be posted in the Community Forum
  • I searched issues and couldn’t find anything (or linked relevant results below)

Problem

My user often needs to upload 1000s of photos at once.

The actual upload process has a progress bar through Dashboard. But the compressor plugin takes a long time to compress all 1000 images- and while there is a spinner, it is tricky to measure progress of this stage- so sometimes the user thinks the application has crashed when it hasn't.

Solution

If the compressor plugin emitted a progress event for each image compressed, I could add a custom progress bar. Would this be feasible?

Alternatives

Even better would be an automatic progress bar built-in to dashboard for the compressor step.

Note- I was able to workaround this. I'll leave it up for consideration though as I think the suggestion would be easier.
