Incorrect video length in Safari

Environment

• The stream has correct Access-Control-Allow-Origin headers (CORS)
• There are no network errors such as 404s in the browser console when trying to play the stream
• The issue observed is not already reported by searching on Github under https://github.com/video-dev/hls.js/issues
• The issue occurs in the latest reference client on http://video-dev.github.io/hls.js/demo and not just on my page

• Browser name/version: Safari 11.1 (WebKit 605.1.15)
• OS name/version: macOS Sierra 10.12.6

Steps to reproduce

1. Try to open reference client in Safari

Expected behavior

Video length must be 5:37:14.

Actual behavior

Check video length. It is now -662:52:08.

Same problem for Safari on 10.13.5 MacOS High Sierra.

It seems that the last working version here is 0.7.11.
