Hi, robwalch. Samsung TV Tizen OS browser FLAC there is no sound hls.js и MSE. Samsung TV 2019 to 2023 support FLAC.

Samsung lists FLAC file support for music playback only (this means it can play *.flac files). However, it does not list FLAC as a supported audio format under TV specifications, which suggests that it is not supported in MSE in mp4 or container-less segments.

Run MediaSource.isTypeSupported('fLaC') (or 'flac'|'FLAC') to verify this yourself. The error events from HLS.js should also make it clear whether the media is supported or not. Please include these logs with issues such as this one.

Flac support is complete, and we're not aware of any issues with the implementation. This sounds like either a bug on Tizen or an error on your end. If you find that this is not the case, please file a bug with sample media and steps to reproduce.

I already realized that the FLAC theme is closed, LG webOS flac is up to 2 channels, does not support 5.1 and 7.1. I heard that webOS 23 and 24 are new with support for DTS-HD and DTS X browser.
