Module federation: build remote entry without default shared chunks (depend on host application for shared dependencies)

I'm using ModuleFederationPlugin to bundle custom React components customers write to be rendered by a host app. Since I'm intending to always share react and other dependencies, I'd like to prevent Webpack from outputting default chunks for those dependencies, such that the remote entry would just error out if it fails to get the shared modules from the host container.

Is there any way to do this?
