While WinterCG doesn't have an official process, here are rough stages I think are reasonable, "adapted" from ECMAScript:

  • Stage 0 (you are here)
    • Present idea, see if it is mostly agreed to be reasonable
  • Stage 1 (adopted into WinterCG?)
  • Stage 2
    • Write specification
  • Stage 3
    • Implemented in at least 2 runtimes (can be behind flag)

Marking runtime outreach as mostly done since "the big 3" are all aware of this proposal and have made some comments :)
