Custom highlighted dates

Please tell me whether it is possible to create custom multiple selected dates using json format. For example json: date - object, event - key, description - key property. On selected date hover show as a custom tooltip or in a popup. Maybe a link to an example?
And tell me please if this method will work in xdsoft periodpicker?
