Among other things, actions are executed per cursor. When you have multiple cursors, if you press a shortcut, the action bound to this shortcut is executed multiple times, one time for each cursor. (It is true not for all actions, but for many of them, specifically for those related to text editing, cursor movement, text selection. Is there a reason for the distinction between commands and actions?. As I understand commands can be typed in the command bar but actions can't (they must be bound to a shortcut). Is there a reason for actions? shouldn't be easier if all were just commands?
