Getting Started

Prerequisites

• Node.js installed on your machine
• MongoDB database (local or cloud-based) for backend

Installation

1. Clone the repository:

   git clone https://github.com/your-username/task-manager.git
   cd task-manager

2. Install backend dependencies:

    cd backend
    npm install

3. Set up environment variables:

Create a .env file in the backend directory and add the following:

PORT=5000
MONGODB_URI=your_mongodb_uri
JWT_SECRET=your_jwt_secret

4. Install frontend dependencies:

cd ../frontend
npm install

5. Start the backend server:

cd ../backend
npm run dev

6. Start the frontend development server:

cd ../frontend
npm run dev

Usage

• Register an account or login if you already have one.
• Create tasks, assign priorities, and invite team members.
• Monitor task progress, update statuses, and collaborate with team members.
• Explore the dashboard for task statistics and summaries.
