Nasa's Astronomy Picture of the Day

This project recreates the APOD experience in a notably streamlined way, implementing a dark theme and naturally easier navigation.

Astronomy Picture of the Day is a website provided by NASA and Michigan Technological University. According to the website, "Each day a different image or photograph of our universe is featured, along with a brief explanation written by a professional astronomer." -Wikipedia

    • Left Arrow Key - *Navigate Previous Date
    • Right Arrow Key - Navigate Next Date
    • O Key - Open/Close Date Selector
  • Toggle "Request Highest Resolution" photo when applicable
  • YouTube Video player support
  • Open full resolution source externally
  • Parses out excess HTML text dumped by the API
