Getting Started

$ git clone https://github.com/KKimj/PerformanceFuzzer
$ pip install PerformanceFuzzer

Prerequisites

$ sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade
$ sudo apt-get install libgmp3-dev
$ pip3 install pytest
$ pip3 install pytest-benchmark
$ pip3 install pygal

Using virtualenv

$ pip3 install virtualenv
$ virtualenv venv
$ python3 -m virtualenv venv
$ source venv/bin/activate

$ pip3 install pytest
$ pip3 install pytest-benchmark
$ pip3 install pygal

$ deactivate

LLVM

# .c file to .ll
$ clang -S -emit-llvm {source_file.c} -o {target_file.ll}

# .ll file optimization & .ll file to .S file
$ opt -S -O2 -aa -basicaa -tbaa -licm {target_file.ll}

# .S file compile to executable file
$ clang {target_file.s} -o {target_file} {Clang_compile_option}

# optional : Dump executable file
$ objdump -D {target_file} > {target_file.dump}

# example from test.c
$ opt -S -O2 -aa -basicaa -tbaa -licm test.ll -o test_opt.ll && llc test_opt.ll -o test.s && clang test.s -o test  -fopenmp=libiomp5 -lgmp -lssl -lcrypto

Running the tests

$ sudo python3 main.py cpubench cpubench --round=8 --warmup=2 --cpubench=50000
# same as
$ sudo python3 main.py cpubench cpubench -r 8 -w 2 -cpu 50000

$ python3 -m pytest main.py --benchmark-histogram
$ ./run.sh cpubench
$ sudo ./tests/cpubench 50000 --singlethreaded --printdigits
