Wow, finally! Another LinkSheet release. Didn't think I'd live to see this day. π
Sadly, this is not 1.0.0
, as initially planned π
I have postponed this milestone to August 31st, 2023 indefinitely, as there are a lot of open issues to address. This also means there are no fancy new UI features, a few things are buggy and not supported properly in all combinations of settings (as I wanted to get another release out after all this time as fast as possible).
Fixes:
- Fix: Crash on Samsung devices when trying to open "Open by default" settings page (#72)
- Fix: App not opening when it is set to always open and "Never show last picked app section" is enabled (#69)
- Fix: Always show DownloadManager notification (#57)
- Fix: Use the same font as the "Just once"/"Always" for the "Copy"/"Share to"/"Download" buttons when simple text button mode is enabled (#76)
- Fix: Show all browsers when preferred browser is set to "None" but no native app is present to handle link (#83)
- Fix: Sort apps in "Apps which can open links (#36)
- Fix: ClearURLs bug where globalRules where used even though other, more specific rules were available (#93)
- Fix: LibRedirect URL not loading (#121)
- Fix: Crash where LinkSheet tried to load services not available on Android 9-12 (#120)
- Fix: Apps which are "browsers" but do not properly declare it will now show up in LinkSheet anyway (#126)
New stuff:
- Allow user to select a random LibRedirect instance (#62)
- LibRedirect integration has been reworked (#29)
- Add option to disable button which ignores LibRedirect once (#46)
- LinkSheet is now finally able to handle In-App links (#53)
- Added crash handler and logger with privacy focused export options
- The user may now request to open a link in private browsing (Firefox & derivatives only)
- Allow user to opt-in to automatically resolve AMP links (#58)
- Integrations (ClearURLs, FastForward, LibRedirect) have been updated to match latest upstream behavior
- Many new translations/languages (thanks to all contributors)
- And lots of refactoring (aka stuff changed internally, but you as the user won't really notice), and UI changes/tweaks (don't even know anymore what's new in this build as so much has changed)
I plan to do another smaller 0.0.34
release sometime next weekend to fix any issues which arise with this release, and to incorporate new translations, so if you run into a bug, or have a new translation for something, make sure to submit it till then.
Edit: 0.0.34
has been cancelled as I have made siginificant progress with 1.0.0
(and no bug reports have been submitted)
Thank you for using LinkSheet, staring on Github and reporting issues/bugs as well as requesting new features.
