Introduction

This is the project 4 of the Udacity's Front-End Web Developer Nanodegree. You can see the website online here.

Install

$ npm install --global gulp && npm install

Build

$ gulp build

Serve

$ gulp serve

Optimizations: index.html

• Html, javascript and css files are all minified
• pizzeria.jpg was resized and optimized
• All javascripts are placed juste before </body>
• Fonts are loaded asynchronously
• media="print" was added to the link element that load "print.css"
• inline all files but fonts into index.html to save some http requests

Optimizations: pizza.html

• Activate hardware acceleration for .mover in wiews/css/style.css
• Replace querySelector("#myId") by getElementById("myId")
• Replace querySelector(".myClass") by getElementsByClassName("myClass")
• On updatePositions put the read of document.body.scrollTop outside of the loop to avoid relayout on each iteration
• Use of a throttled version of updatePositions because scrolling can trigger a lot of scroll event
• Refactor resizePizzas. Put queries and reads of layout properties outside of the loop
• Remove array.length from loop's end condition
• Put the pizzasDiv's query outside of the loop
• Put var statements outside of loops
• Reduce the number of pizzas created
