Examples:

Popularimeter                            : 5 stars (255/255, MusicBee)
Popularimeter                            : 1 star (1/255, Windows Media Player 9 Series)

I keep the raw number because the detail may be useful.

That will be useful for me, thank you. The other format I use is Opus (YouTube), and there, Rating is already supported by MediaInfo.

I guess that this is by a "pass through" of unknown Vorbis comment, please share a sample file so I can have coherency between formats.

Unfortunately, I cannot tell you how it was tagged because currently I experiment with various tools because I want to give up MusicBee and migrate to open source tools such as mpv.net.

In the app Mp3tag it shows this:
