The regex "\(\\[([a-z0-9]{7})\\]\\(" matches beyond hexadecimal ranges. For accuracy, use "\(\\[([a-fA-F0-9]{7})\\]\\(" to strictly match 7-character hex hashes in markdown links, enhancing specificity and reducing mismatches.
