Overview

ShieldMe Router Vpn allows you to easily connect to VPN servers, manage favorite lists, check analytics and set custom VPN rules among many others – all of this directly from your Wi-Fi router.

My ultimate mission is to make VPN management easy for everyone by getting rid of the complexity behind this process and showing an intuitive user interface instead. To achieve this, my plan is to constantly develop, optimize and improve every aspect of ShieldMe through updates and by unlocking the full potential of your router.

Getting Started

Download the latest release.

Prerequisites

An active subscription is required to use this software.

Before commiting to any subscription plan, a free 7-days trial evaluation is available on ShieldMe website.

Make sure your router runs on DD-WRT or OpenWrt and that you have an active VPN subscription with one of the supported providers and YOU’RE GOOD TO GO!

You can easily install DD-WRT or OpenWrt on your router using the free tool ShieldMe Router Automation. It supports 900+ different router models.

Installation

You have two options:

• Automatically, using ShieldMe Router Automation

  • Add a new router and click Detect Firmware
  • If the installed firmware is listed as "Stock":
    • Run a new "FirmwareFlash" automation to install the custom firmware:
      • DD-WRT Automated Flash
      • OpenWrt Automated Flash
  • If the installed firmware is already either DD-WRT or OpenWrt:
    • Run a new ShieldMeInstall automation to install ShieldMe

• Manually, by following the instructions available on ShieldMe Install Page
