Hidden Markov Model for Parts of Speech Tagging

The project aims to use hidden markov model for Parts of Speech tagging for different languages i.e. japanese, english and hindi. The model achieves an accuracy of 91%, 92% and 87% for english, japanese and hindi respectively.

This project was an assignment for CSCI-544: Applied Natural Language Processing in spring-2022.
