To use the 3D Route Runner, you will need a GPX file of your activity. You can obtain this file from services like Strava, Garmin Connect, etc. Once you have your GPX file, you can upload it to the visualizer and see your route in 3D. Try It Yourself
If you don't have a GPX file, you can use one of the demo files provided. Simply download one of the files below and upload it to the visualizer:
- Demo File 1 - 18mi Long Run in Austin
- Demo File 2 - Austin Marathon 20233 (note: this file does not contain HR, cad, tmp data)
- Demo File 3 - Ironman Lake Placid '23 - Run Leg (note: some google maps locations don't support 3D tiles (only 2D), hence why the terrain for this file loads in 2D)
- Demo File 4 - 10mi Training Run
- Demo File 5 - Ironman Bike Leg - 112mi
- Upload and Visualize GPX Files: Easily upload your GPX file and watch as your route is rendered in a beautiful 3D environment.

- Interactive Map: Explore your route in detail with an interactive 3D map.
- Visit the 3D Route Runner.
- Click on the "Upload GPX file" button.
- Select your GPX file or use one of the provided demo files.
- View your route in 3D!
