The very first "real" release of BitShuffle. Key features in this release

  • Full cross-platform support - tested on Linux and Windows automatically.
    • One of the project authors uses macOS, so it is known to work reliably also.
  • Static builds for Linux and Windows, uploaded to releases automatically.
  • bz2 and gzip compression.
  • File-level checksums.
  • Support for accepting data to be decoded from standard in, arbitrary files, or via the user's configured editor.
  • Support for encoding data from standard in or from arbitrary files.
