Profile Information

I am a MA student at Columbia University's Quantitative Research Methods in Social Sciences (QMSS) Program with an undergraduate background in business (marketing and accounting) and an interest in social science problems around stratification. Currently, I am working on a number of data analysis and visualization projects around topics of immigration, culture, gender, and education. I love beautiful and clever visualizations. Feel free to contact me about my projects and my work anytime!

Projects Within

This repository includes my previous classwork and personal projects:

  • studious_pancake: Internal Github repository for individual projects focused on statistical modelling of social science trends (incl. time series, network analysis, and linear regression work).
  • HigherEd_Review: Forked repository with finalized code on group project Spring 2021. This project uses R and R Shiny to develop a website showcasing various types of visualizations telling a story about the state of higher education and student debt in America.
  • G5055_Practicum_Project2: Forked repository with finalized code on group project Fall 2021. This project was a part of our work with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals work, wherein our team compiled indicator-level measures across time as well as indicator-level metadata description text to visualize and analyze national-level indicators as a social network. Work within includes supporting code as well as final deliverables:
    (1) Final Presentation Deck detailing work process and visualizing findings, including comprehensive appendix of methodologies
    (2) Final Blog discussing identified trends in built networks
    (3) Final Paper discussing results, literatire, and results
  • ny_artsy_date: Repository for independently developed python package focusing on returning and selecting current and nearby art events and restaurants in the New York Metro area.
  • Intergenerational Childcare and Maternal Wage Gap: MA Thesis Code and documentation, using fixed and random effects models to examine how relative-provided childcare relates to working womens' wages.
