Description
This PR reverts the changes introduced in #12765 as a way to workaround electron/electron#29261
It seems the original issue only happened when the app is reloaded from the Dev Tools, so it's not something users will run into in normal circumstances. This has been disabled for quite a while and no issues have been reported.
