  • css variable for colors
  • detect if high contrast is active
  • take high contrast color and put it in css

This is a content-rich PR which unfortunately now suffers from conflicts due to recent codebase changes (notably: strongly-typed Redux actions). Let's keep this PR open to keep in mind this great start, but obviously the PR needs significant revisiting (and it was still a WIP anyway).
