IKTAN Roving's Telemetry, NASA Human Exploration Rover Challenge team (2022 and 2023 editions).
The development of telemetry area for the Mexican team participating in the NASA Human Exploration Rover Challenge 2022 and 2023 editions, IKTAN Roving, involved months of teamwork where knowledge of: Data Science; Internet of Things; circuits and sensors assembly; microcontroller programming; Printed Circuit Board Design; Data Analytics; Computer Aided Design for 3D printed components; full stack web programming; development of android applications for gadgets; computer vision and machine learning; design and implementation of relational databases; and web server administration.
The telemetry implemented in the vehicle contributed to the team being deserving of the awards achieved in the 2022 and 2023 editions at NASA U.S. Space & Rocket Center, Huntsville, Alabama, United States of America: 2022 First Place Overall Winner, 2022 Ingenuity Award, 2023 Ingenuity Award, and 2023 Crash and Burn Award.
