About
-----
mc-vimbind is a clone of Midnight Commander

http://midnight-commander.org

slightly patched to support VI/VIM - like navigation.

Setup
-----
Follow general install steps, then run mc with vi_style option enabled (edit file ~/.config/mc/ini). It is now possible to map single-keys in [main] section. For example, here is my ~/.config/mc/keymap:

	[main]
	Quit=f10;q
	Find=alt-f7;ctrl-f;
	ShowHidden=alt-dot;.
	Copy=f5;c
	Delete=f8;d
	Edit=f4;i

	[panel]
	Up=up;k
	Down=down;j
	Enter=right;l;o;enter
	CdParent=left;h;x
	PageUp=pgup;ctrl-u
	PageDown=pgdn;ctrl-d
	Mark=v
	HistoryPrev=ctrl-o
	Search=ctrl-s;alt-s;/

Note additional mappings for 'o','i','d','c','.' keys. Note, that keymap file may be called either keymap or mc.keymap. Look into ~/.config/mc/ini to figure out which one is correct.

Problems
--------
The idea was that if user presses ':' key, mc should enable command line editing (somewhat like vi does). This was intended to disable all single-key mappings until next Enter. Unfortunately, looks like I missed the logic of combining [main] and [panel] mappings, so ':' mode should be considered as broken.
