Yo! This is Ivan speaking...

Help us test our end-to-end solutions using OSS managed services for free and protect your privacy along the way. We don't want your data, we need that space to keep improving.

How do you test your stuff if you don't collect data?

We consider as "data" that information which allows identifying a user on the Internet, for example IP addresses, user agents, cookies...

The best way to test something is to do it in a real environment where you can prove the stability of the software, your use provides stability metrics and ensures the correct operation of the entire infrastructure.

We respect your privacy (as cliché as it sounds today), we only use what is strictly necessary for you to access the sites* and we adopt a zero-identification logging policy towards our users. To put it simple, we do not use your data, if we do not use it, we do not need to store it.

Furthermore, we report any issues that may arise with the OSS managed services to their respective maintainers.

*As a special case, it is possible that Substation gateways use your IP to create an anonymous matrix layered graph with other users and bots to optimize and protect our infrastructure, neither the matrix nor the data collected through Substation is shared, all is handled autonomously during the lifecycle process. Data is subsequently deleted after 10–15 minutes, the matrix layered graph have a lifespan of 30 days.

Something not working as it should?

We are sorry for the inconvenience, if these are issues with OSS managed services we probably cannot do much about it and they will have to be reported to their respective maintainers.

In case of trouble accessing the sites, we will review a few points:

  • You may have been tagged as a bad actor and blocked from the infrastructure perimeter, depending on the severity assigned to you, ranging from 1 minute to indefinite. We cannot revoke this block for security reasons (misuse of the IP, blocklists, using a VPN/Proxies...), we are working to offer the possibility to inform the user in case this has happened.

  • We are probably performing some routine maintenance task or the site is being restarted, otherwise we may have had an outage (Oops). We usually solve the issues that arise in the infrastructure within 1–2 hours.
I love your work. Can I help?
* Financial

We appreciate that you would like to help us out financially, but at this time we do not accept funding.

You can still help us by making it aware of my GitHub profile where I maintain packages, utilities, and other third-party projects.
