Dr. sc. Moritz Mรคhr is an Associate Researcher inย Digital Humanitiesย at the University of Bern and the digital project manager ofย Stadt.Geschichte.Baselย at the University of Basel. He studied history and philosophy of knowledge, computer science, and banking and finance in Zurich and Berlin. From 2018 to 2022, he was a research assistant at the Chair for the History of Technology at ETH Zurich. He wrote a dissertation on theย digitization of migration authorities in Switzerland in the 1960s. The study was part of the SNSF-funded projectย Trading Zones. His research interests include science and technology studies, digital humanities, and the history of computing. He is an advocate of open science, open access and open source.
