ASUS ROG Ally is a handheld gaming computer developed by ASUS in cooperation with Advanced Micro Devices (AMD). It allows users to play their entire Steam game library but can be modified by the user to run other gaming storefronts or applications.

ASUS ROG Ally Specs:

Operating system: Windows 11 Home.

User Interface (UI): Customized ASUS Armoury Crate.

System on a chip (SoC): AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme APU (Customized Ryzen 7 7840U with Radeon 780M graphics).

CPU: Zen 4, 8-core, 16-threads, turbos up to 5.1 GHz.

Memory: 16 GB LPDDR5 @ 6400 MT/s.

Storage Options:

  • Base model: 512 GB (PCIe Gen 4) SSD and UHS-II microSD slot for $599(US).
  • Top model: 512 GB (PCIe Gen 4) SSD and UHS-II microSD slot for $699(US).

IO: ROG XG Mobile connector, 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB-C.

All models use M.2 2230 interface.

Removable Storage: microSD supports up to 2TB of additional storage for games.

Display: 7-inch, 1920 x 1080 LCD, native 1080p @ 120Hz (7 ms, 500 nits, 100% sRGB, FreeSync).

Graphics: RDNA 3 with 12 GPU Compute Units (8.6 Teraflops of performance).

Speakers: Front-facing dual speakers with Dolby Atmos.
