Simple Spark Demo

This is a simple spark demo for a quick presentation at the Tucson Python Meetup. Slides are also availible.

Pre-Reqs

• Docker For Mac
• Some bandwidth for the first run, the docker image is 5GB

Howto

• clone this repo
• cd into the checkout
• run the start.sh script to start the docker container
• once started, look for a url in the output, click on it
• navigate into the work directory
• click on the demo notebook
• run it!
