This is to test that some bugs ARE fixed by this statement; should only affect x86 architecture.

Note: #508 gave a negative result. My hypothesis now is that the problem extends to both x86 and arm64, but nevertheless all bug reports seem to be coming from Apple Silicon devices. Please test. |
