Redis Killer

Small app that constantly sets new keys in redis. Useful for stress testing redis deployments.

Usage

docker build -t redis-killer .
docker run -it redis-killer -h
docker run -it redis-killer -j 4 --size 1024 --host redis -p 6379 -m :9876

Flags

  • -j, --jobs - number of parallel workers to run [default: 4]
  • --host - hostname/ip of the redis server [default: 127.0.0.1]
  • -p, --port, - port to use to connect to redis [default: 6379]
  • -r, --requests - total number of requests to make across all workers
  • -s, --size - number of bytes to set on they key per request
  • -m, --metrics-port - address to listen on for prometheus metrics server
