Asciidoctor Template with Gradle support

This is a simple template to create documents (PDFs, HTML, …​) from Asciidoctor sources with a customizable theme.

This templates includes:

• Asciidoctor Diagram support (e. g. PlantUML)

• customizable PDF theme

• custom PlantUML theme

• some fonts included (Roboto, Open Sans, Fira Code)

Getting Started

Execute the following command to build a PDF and a HTML version from the sources:

./gradlew b

The final documents can be found at build/asciidoctor.

Important

All images must be located in src/images because Asciidoctor resolves the image paths to this directory.

Customizing the PDF theme

The PDF theme can be easily changed to your preferences by editing src/theme/custom-theme.yml. For a settings reference see https://github.com/asciidoctor/asciidoctor-pdf/blob/master/docs/theming-guide.adoc.

Known issues

• Updating the Ruby Gems' version in the build.gradle does not cause Gradle to update the Gem files. You have to delete the .gradle/gems folder.
