This was inspired by, but not branched from #727.
I'm not a web developer by any stretch of the imagination, so my fix may be not the best fix. However, it appears to work. I based it off of this comment: facebook/create-react-app#9870 (comment)
The site looks like it is running and functioning. In particular, it is loading styles, which is what I understand CSS to be used for.
